  1. I would like to know if the book about Willard Bean is still available by Vicki Bean Topliff? His father, George Washington Bean, is a brother to my grandfather, Marcellus Bean.

    1. Hello cousin! 🙂 Unfortunately, it is no longer being published, but if you keep an eye out you might be able to find it. I did hear about a copy a few years ago in a Palmyra Beehive store but it was gone before I could get over there. I have a copy, but that one is staying in the family 🙂

  2. I enjoyed the movie “The Fighting Preacher” but I am surprised that there is no wikipedia page on Willard Bean, or am I just missing it somehow? What information is there to support his boxing career? Enough to induct him into the Utah Sports Hall of Fame?

  3. We are going to see this today. Willard Bean is my first cousin three times removed. My Great-great Grandfather, James Addisons brother, George Washington Bean was Willards Father. Willards Grandfather is my 3rd Grandfather. We have heard the movies is excellent.

    Barbara Jean *(Smith) Roberts.

  4. Have been to the farm several times over the years and have a granddaughter servings as a site missionary there. In Sister Topliffs book page 90 she shares the story of Rebecca taking visitors “upstairs to see the room where the Angel Moroni had come to the Prophet Joseph.” This seems in conflict with at least the recorded first several visits to Joseph of Moroni which took place in the loft of the log home another the frame farm home. Which home did Moroni visit Joseph?

  5. This is truly a wonderful site for people to read about the lives of these two marvelous saints. Willard was my great uncle.
